What To Expect On Your First Visit

Your first appointment with us will start with a clear introduction, followed by a discussion about your health and injury history. Our goal is to learn more about you, including your goals for treatment, injury history, expectations for therapy, and any reservations you may have about specific parts of the management or treatment techniques. This appointment is a longer appointment and will usually take 30-45 minutes.

Your first appointment will typically include treatment, unless we determine that it would be unsafe to do so. This could include physical or medical conditions that would make treatment dangerous or harmful.

Next, we will perform a series of examinations to give us a better understanding of the causes of your pain or problems. These tests may include neurological, orthopaedic, postural, and movement assessments, and may involve the use of tools or equipment.

Based on the results of these examinations, we will then physically assess the individual muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, nerves, and fascia that we suspect may be contributing to your pain or problems.

After our assessments, we will provide you with an individualized explanation of what we have found and the appropriate course of action. If we determine that we cannot help, we will assist you in finding the right professional who can.

Treatment results can vary, depending on the complexity of your condition and the experience of your practitioner. However, we will always provide you with an honest estimate of how long we expect your treatment to take. Additionally, follow-up appointments will be important for your continued progress.

For your comfort during treatment, please bring comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment. Some treatments cannot be performed through clothing, so wearing comfortable and appropriate attire will ensure the best possible experience.

Lastly, if you have any questions or concerns during the appointment, please feel free to ask. We are here to help and support you.
